Greetings to all in VG Land.

What happened to Bases Loaded? Since Baseball season is long gone and “The Dark Knight’ was recently out on DVD I though I should go on ahed to the next franchise. I probably will post all Bases Loaded in the middle of summer at the heart of the season.

The first instalment based loosely off of the Tim Burton film in 1989. And I do mean loosely. The only things that hold this to the Batman title are the Batman and The Joker. Also the Batmobile and Batwing are only seen in the cutscenes.  These were greatly needed  as playable levels as this game is quite short. The graphics are impressing and the game’s soundtrack is not to be forgoten. Still the game play, in my opinion just did not up to my standards. but over all, this is really a good game.

80-1

Greetings to all in VG Land! Where it’s still baseball season.

This is in no way a port of the arcade/NeoGeo title. This is more of a sequil to the original NES title as the 8-bit sistem can’t even conceive the 32-bit features.

This turnes out a little better than the first. As you can start with a more potent balanced team. Finding your fielders for a pop fly is still a major pain though. And the music in this cart is probabbly the best I’ve herd in any baseball themed game.

Hope you enjoyed the ride

Hey everyone welcome to another Two-Tailed Playthrough! This time I bring to you Ghosts n’ Goblins for the NES! This game is easily one of the hardest games on the NES but with a whole ton of practice the game CAN be completed. Will the Knight in cardboard armor rescue his captive Princess? Watch and find out!

Greetings to all in VG Land!

This NeoGeo/arade port just didn’t fare too well with me. Even though most ratings on the game are very good. Almost all NES baseball themed games have that problem with locating outfielders when the hit takes the ball beyond the bounds of of the infield. In this title it was a major pain. Another thing I did not like is that you are givin the choice to start out whith only one attribute for your team such as strong hitters, fast runners, great pitchers, etc. That leaves any other ball gaming skill quite weak. The balaned team I have chosen to start with hardly had anything to show. Sure the player can build his dream team but that takes money which is only aquired by winning a game. And the difficuly of playing is hard as the computer AI is quite intellegent. I would not recommend this for begginers.

Yes, my team I chosen were the weak balanced team. I played the underdog.

Hey everyone welcome to another Two-Tailed Playthrough. This time I bring to you Ghoul School, a Halloween themed game set in the depths of a humongous high school. Our hero, Spike O’Hara, has to rescue his school from the clutches of evil monsters as they have taken over and turned all the teachers and the football team into Zombies and kidnapped the head cheerleader, Samantha Pompom. Will he win out in the end? Armed with only a baseball bat and his wits (and bad knees since he can’t crouch for some reason) Spike heads into the school to face the monsters head on.

Hey everyone on this update its Sweet Home. Easily one of the first horror based rpgs to ever hit the market and its the Grandfather of Survivor Horror games. Many of those who worked on the Resident Evil series drew inspiration from this very game. It has a unique party system and causes you to manage your items and equipment effectively in order to advance to the next part. Enjoy!!!

Greetings to all in VG Land. What? Another reality based baseball game? We’ll there’s this Ultra League mode of play. Go with that and the game is anything but what the title suggests. It is a bit more fun when the pitchers and batters are given unnatural performances.

Hope you enjoyed the ride!

Hero of Southtown Returns to Present: Kingdom Hearts Chain Of Memories

Posted in General Updates, The Hero of SouthTown with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on October 28, 2008 by heroofsouthtown

Ok, so after being gone from the site for far too long. I decided to take a different direction. I picked out a decent rpg, that i know will make some of my fellow members on this site will cringe.  Now this game is the direct sequel to Kingdom Hearts, and its ending is set about a year before Kingdom Hearts II. The story centers around the protagonist of the first game, Sora, exploring a mysterious castle in search of his friends. As he ascends the castle, his friend and rival, Riku, explores the basement levels and fights his personal demons. The game introduced new characters and plotlines that further expanded the Kingdom Hearts universe and set up the premise for Kingdom Hearts II.

Though not as successful as the other Kingdom Hearts games, it received positive reviews and sales. It was praised for its story, graphics, and FMVs. The game features a new card based battle system that is a departure from its predecessor. When it debuted in Japan, it sold 104,000 units in 48 hours; a record for a Game Boy Advance title at the time. Since its release, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories has sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide.

Hope you enjoy my playthrough over the next few weeks and now Part 1 of kingdom hearts chain of memories
