Greetings to all in VG Land.
What happened to Bases Loaded? Since Baseball season is long gone and “The Dark Knight’ was recently out on DVD I though I should go on ahed to the next franchise. I probably will post all Bases Loaded in the middle of summer at the heart of the season.
The first instalment based loosely off of the Tim Burton film in 1989. And I do mean loosely. The only things that hold this to the Batman title are the Batman and The Joker. Also the Batmobile and Batwing are only seen in the cutscenes. These were greatly needed as playable levels as this game is quite short. The graphics are impressing and the game’s soundtrack is not to be forgoten. Still the game play, in my opinion just did not up to my standards. but over all, this is really a good game.
Greetings to all in VG Land! Where it’s still baseball season.
This is in no way a port of the arcade/NeoGeo title. This is more of a sequil to the original NES title as the 8-bit sistem can’t even conceive the 32-bit features.
This turnes out a little better than the first. As you can start with a more potent balanced team. Finding your fielders for a pop fly is still a major pain though. And the music in this cart is probabbly the best I’ve herd in any baseball themed game.
This NeoGeo/arade port just didn’t fare too well with me. Even though most ratings on the game are very good. Almost all NES baseball themed games have that problem with locating outfielders when the hit takes the ball beyond the bounds of of the infield. In this title it was a major pain. Another thing I did not like is that you are givin the choice to start out whith only one attribute for your team such as strong hitters, fast runners, great pitchers, etc. That leaves any other ball gaming skill quite weak. The balaned team I have chosen to start with hardly had anything to show. Sure the player can build his dream team but that takes money which is only aquired by winning a game. And the difficuly of playing is hard as the computer AI is quite intellegent. I would not recommend this for begginers.
Yes, my team I chosen were the weak balanced team. I played the underdog.

Greetings to all in VG Land. What? Another reality based baseball game? We’ll there’s this Ultra League mode of play. Go with that and the game is anything but what the title suggests. It is a bit more fun when the pitchers and batters are given unnatural performances.
Greetings to all in VG Land. This time around we have a little fun just shooting things up in four different carnival stile like events. But who the heck is Barker Bill anyway? This was tooken from Wikipedea.com:
Barker Bill’s Trick Shooting is an NES shooter made by Nintendo. It was released in 1990. It is based on the cartoon show titled Barker Bill’s Cartoon Show, which was created by Paul Terry in 1952. Barker Bill’s Cartoon Show was one of the earliest cartoon shows produced for television (formerly they were typically shown in cinemas and theaters only). Paul Terry, famous for his Terrytoons cartoons, bundled them together and had them presented by Barker Bill, a circus ringleader. Barker Bill was a static image and voiced by a presenter before the actual cartoons began.
True, I didn’t know who he was either as for most of us when the game was released.
It features 4 events. One of them features a cameo of the Duck Hunt mutt. Yes! This time you can shoot him but not without penalty though.

Greatings to all in VG Land.
The legendary town of Skara Brae need our help! The evil wizard, Mangar, has locked the city in an endless winter, trapping the citizens who are threatened by the hordes of monsters that rampage through the streets. We gather a party of six adventurers in an attempt to reach the good wizard Kylearan who was trapped in his tower by Mangar so that he can give us what we need to defeat Mangar and free Skara Brae.
Part 1
The wizard Kylearn is indeed trapped. The gate to his tower is magically sealed. We have to look for something to break in and break him out. Our quest leads us to the sewars. That’s the only accessible dungeon for now. There’s gotta be something of importance down there.
Hey everyone it’s time for another song of a week and it’s my pick this week. The song I chose is from one of the best games on the SNES and in his franchise, the cast roll from Megaman X. We all know how great the first Megaman X game was. It completely changed the way we saw Megaman. It took it from the same repetitive game it was to something much, much better in all categories. One of the most memorable categories is, of course, the music of the game, which was spectacular as all Megaman music is. There were five composers in Megaman X and I’m not sure which one did this song. Those composers are: Setuo Yamamoto, Makoto Tomozawa, Yuki Iwai, Yuko Takehara, Toshihiko Horiyama. Makoto Tomozawa went on to do and help with music in many other great games such as Megaman X3, Resident Evil, Dino Crisis, and both Megaman Legends games. Yuki Iwai went on to do music in other games such as X-Men vs Street Fighter and Musashiden II: Blade Master. Yuko Takehara went on to do the music for Marvel vs Capcom, Aladdin, Breath of Fire 2, and Final Fight 2. Toshihiko Horiyama went on to do and help with the music in Megaman X4 and Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. Unfortunately I couldn’t find anything on Setuo Yamamoto despite using Google and Wikipedia.
